Cometh the hour…Cometh the Quirky Couples…

OK. We admit. We were a wee bit nervous about this fair. I mean deep down we knew it was going to rock but at the end of the day we had lured 72 exhibitors to the Crescent Arts Centre and spread them over 9 areas…or 10, actually, if you include the spectacular outdoor performers! We bravely went for it in a ‘build it and they will come’ style-E. (Thanks Costner!)

Well we built it, and well over 700 people came! Talk about overwhelmed! Many suppliers ran out of business cards and flyers as the demand was much higher than expected, many reported hoarseness and more reported bookings and deposits! So lots of happy people everywhere.

Our idea was to create a (big) space full of loads of unusual, vibrant, alternative ideas for weddings. In doing so we needed to give each area a different vibe/feeling…and so the Lumi, Yum Yum, Alice, Revelry and Rock ‘n’ Roll rooms were born, along with the 2 studios and cafe.

Here’s some images from the event to give you an idea of what was going on…

Huge thanks to everyone who exhibited and who visited. We had great feedback from both…check it out!

The Kneivals

The Kneivals in the cafe

We’d like to thank all the folks who provided entertainment on the day. The Kneivals played in the cafe and provided the perfect entrance music.

They are a very flexible band and can provide music for any part of your celebration. They’re actually a 5 piece band and have a huge repertoire of music.

All in all they’re lovely guys and great to work with so give them a shout – hear just one of their tracks, Domino, below and for more, go to soundcloud.com/knievels

Bespoke Music Solutions

Bespoke Music Solutions - DJ Gurus!

Bespoke Music Solutions DJ’d throughout the event in the Rock’n'Roll room.

We absolutely love these guys and have had them at all of our fairs so far and our supplier networking night last summer.

These guys really know what they’re at and don’t own any of the cheesy stuff you dread at weddings.

You can find them at their Quirky Weddings Supplier page – click here »

Jacqui Bennett and her daughter floated like angels from room to room singing their beautiful classical music. To have gorgeous voices at your wedding you can reach Jacqui at 078 7778 6840.

The outdoor performances by Harlequin Hoop Dance, Michelle Crawford Imaginative Fire Performer and Premier Circus were stunning – they literally stopped traffic!

WOW. Is all I have to say!

Everyone who arrived through the door was grinning already thanks to the meet and greet from these guys. It added an extra special wow to the event and we’d like to thank them for that!

The stilt walkers, Snow Queen and jugglers were all from Premier Circus. You can find them at their Quirky Weddings Supplier page – click here »

All performers received loads of fantastic feedback! Definitely give them a shout if you are looking for something extra special!

Hope to see you all next time. Keep in touch!
